In most cases, a wonderful career isn’t planned for: it just happens. Much like a superhero has a strange interaction that suddenly gives them superpowers, many people who become legends in their careers did not start out wanting to work in that particular industry. Take Keith Latman. When Keith was young, he didn’t dream about being anything other than a writer. He imagined himself living on board a boat and writing from different ports in the world. Instead, he has become one of the premiere IT entrepreneurs of our time.

Welcome to Keith Latman

Experiencing the Internet World
When Keith first fell in love with the internet, it was not widely available. Schools and business had connections, but it was all through dial-up, and speeds faster than 56k seemed superhuman. Keith, however, saw the internet for what it was: a viable source to connect people with people and business with people as well. Like most remembered men, he started his career out on a sour note. Keith's first business, Microworkz, wound up not being all that he had hoped for. Conditions that were largely out of his control forced the company under, and Keith struggled to stay afloat.

Learning from Mistakes

Keith quickly realized that he had to learn from his mistakes instead of regretting or repeating them. Soon after his first failure, he began RetailTRAC, which was soon sold to Minow LLC. With his stride back, he created MicroPOS, which was grabbed by Micros soon after it was created. Keith looked for another challenge and found one in the automotive industry. He built and ran internet departments for a number of automotive dealers in the San Francisco Bay area. One of the car dealerships that he built an internet department for managed to sell over 1,200 cars in one short year.

Using the experiences he had from his 12 years in senior management rolls in the IT industry, as well as the years he spent in the automotive industry, Keith co-founded iMagicLab (formerly iCarMagic). Keith's vision was to allow car dealers to create and sustain long relationships with their customers, in order to keep business flowing.

In the last three years, Keith has not only trained thousands of car dealers and their staff, he has also been engaged as a speaker at major industry events and seminars around the nation. He has also written and published over 75 articles. Keith Latman is a man who not only knows how to build amazing things, he also knows how to take a knock and keep on going.

When he's not hard at work in iMagicLab, Keith is enjoying his time with his wife, Alisa, and with his three children: Michael, Lindsey, and Clarissa. He also spends a good amount of time walking the family's Samoyed, Jake.
